Echedo is situated north of Valverde, on a hillside that opens to the Atlantic Ocean. Surrounded by small agricultural gardens, many of them dedicated to the cultivation of vines and fruit trees, this is one of the isle’s main wine production areas, where vines are cultivated on volcanic soil. Its characteristic stone-made houses are surrounded by vineyards. From here a trail leads to Charco Manso, a fantastic natural pool set up on a rough wild coastal area, with volcanic rock arches and numerous blowholes.
