Erese

Erese, a name that applies to both the town and the ravine that runs across the village, is located in the northeast of the island. Since 1991, it shares its population census with the village of Guarazoca. Here we can find fruit crops, cereals and potatoes accompanied by cattle and goats. The village’s name originated from ‘Eres’, an aboriginal term used to describe the wells formed in the impermeable rock of ravines where rainwater accumulates.
